Below is an index of Kat's Heater according to Model of car. The Charts are taken from the 2009 Kat's Application Guide and give the appropriate frost plugs, lower radiator heaters, and external tank heaters.  Kat's will not recommend a heater if there is danger to the coolant system or heater or there is not practical room for the heater to fit the application. Short warm-up periods should be avoided when it is extremely cold.  It is better to operate the heater all night.  This will eliminate frozen water hoses.  Kat's heaters are thermostatically controlled to obtain the most efficient operation.

5 MOST COMMON FAILURE CAUSES FROM INSTALLATION OR OPERATOR ERRORS

1. Pre-heater plugged in while engine is running

2. Air not bled from system (run engine until maximum system pressure is reached before pluggin it in).

3. Plugged in before it is installed to see if it gets hot (trust us -- IT WILL!)

4. Tank style heater installed in the wrong physical location.

5. Tank style heater not connected to the right locations.
